Before taxi service can be scheduled for your dog, we will need to set up a meet and greet. A meet and greet is not needed for cats or other pets transported in carriers.

What is a meet and greet?

This is an opportunity for you to meet us and for us to meet with your fur babies. The M&G visit, which lasts 15-30 minutes, allows us to get to know you and your pet/s as much as possible before taking them where they need to go.

What's your vaccination policy?

We ask that all pets have the necessary vaccinations and immunizations before service begins. WE CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR PET IF WE DO NOT HAVE CURRENT UP-TO-DATE VACCINATIONS ON RECORD!

The required vaccinations for dogs include Rabies and DHPP

The required vaccinations for cats include Rabies and FVRCP


How does transportation to a vet appointment work?

Your pet must have a pre-established appointment with your vet of choice. Cats and other pets must be in an appropriate pet carrier.

Not responsible for any Veterinary payments.

Do I need to be home for pickup or drop off service?

No, but you must be an established client of Barker Pet Taxi.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured

Do you transport more than one pet at a time?

Yes. However, pets from different families will be in separate compartments in our van..

Do you accept last minute reservations?

We’re flexible for established clients. Just give us a call and we can see if our schedule can accommodate. No reservation is valid unless the reservation has been verified by us.

What is your payment policy?

At this time, we accept Visa, Mastercard, cash, Paypal, and Venmo.

How does transportation to day care work?

After a meet and greet (dogs only), we will pick up your pet at the scheduled time and drop off at the daycare of your choice. Your pet must have a pre-established appointment with your day care of choice.

We will not be responsible for payment due to day care.

How does transportation to a groomer work?

After a meet and greet (dogs only), we will pick up your pet at the scheduled time and drop off at the groomer of your choice. Your pet must have a pre-established appointment with your groomer of choice.

We will not be responsible for payment due to the groomer.

Can you handle emergency vet transportation?

Unfortunately, we are not set up for emergency vet transportation. However, if the pet is able to get in and out of our vehicle on their own, we may be able to accommodate you.

Do you do long distance transportation?

Unfortunately, we do not transport animals long distance. We only operate in Union County, NJ and some of Middlesex County, NJ.

Can I ride with my pet?

Unfortunately, no. Due to insurance regulations we can only transport animals.
